A reader has asked the following question:

I live in nh moved here last august I have seen deer then in the hunting
season and winter they like dissaopeared seening only a few here and there ,Now with spring I thought thet would been more around I have seen them  a few days in a row now nothing will they come back do they move to different spots witht he seasons  I love watching them  but dont understand why they are gone with the nice wheather any help you can give would be great.

Hello Reader!
Deer move all year. They are pretty simple animals - they eat! A deers day is made up of eating - chewing and resting. If you are seeing less deer it is more than likely do to the fact that what they are eating does not grow in your area. That being said - deer eat all kinds of plants. Some plants are better than others, if you are looking to increase deer sightings I would find plants that grow in your area and that are beneficial to deer and plant them. For example - clovers! Deer love clover and its real easy to grow.

......sunny exposed areas in the spring draw them to fresh grass shoots......where i live they are so thick its a serious traffic concern.....where is nh??
