Just about everywhere in the state is good crappie waters,however if you want crappies with size...you may have to do some looking.Usually the big waters of Minnesota hold monster crappies.
The areas I try are somewhat close to the Twin Cities but other areas of the state also hold decent size crappies.Places I would recommend.....
Annandale- Clearwater Lake,Buffalo Lake,Lake Sylvia/Twin Lake,Lake Maria,Lake Louisa chain near South Haven.
Mille Lacs-Isle bay in the springtime.
Leech Lake-Also in the springtime
Rainy River,Crane Lake
Upper Red
Lake Minnetonka
Rabbit Lake ...just north of Crosby
Bemidji area lakes..
Cass Lake
Vermillion...
Like any other lake you just have to go spend some time on each alke to find them.Spring time is the best time in my opinion.
