You Snooze You Lose
About the Artist
Ken and his family live in downtown Puyallup, Washington. Retired from a background of business marketing and retail management, Kenn now works full-time doing what he's always wanted to do... paint. He says, "Leaving your mark is important and it is truly a blessing when what you do for a living completely facilitates that goal."
Kenn's love of the northwest has him on a mission to fully document the beauty of the Puget Sound area. Having grown up in northern Minnesota, Kenn has also dedicated himself to memorializing his boyhood memories of ice fishing with his father.
Trying to explain his two homes, he says this... "I have two homes and two groups of people I call 'my people'. One is the bitter cold landscape of Minnesota's north country full of warm hearted folks that continually remind you of America's old fashion hospitality. The other is the progressive-minded melting pot called the Great Northwest and the festive spirit of the people here."
In his photography his love for the community is evident, choosing scenes that many of us have enjoyed while at those locations. His next two photo series will be of the Seattle Waterfront, and Seattle Downtown.
Kenn’s passion for making a difference has inspired him in his latest endeavor to offer affordable oil painting classes for people throughout the Puget Sound community.
I know the You Snooze you Lose print will be on my office wall.
